Our most recent company outing took us to Merano, Italy, and offered a thoughtful mix of cultural, culinary and scenic experiences.
On the first day, we visited the Benedictine convent of St. Johann in Müstair. This UNESCO World Heritage Site impressed us with its historical significance and artistically designed frescoes.
We then continued our journey to Merano, where we visited the historic old town. The well-kept Art Nouveau buildings and the picturesque promenade along the Passer offered us interesting insights into the history and architecture of the region.
The first day ended with dinner at the Prezioso restaurant, which is renowned for its Michelin-starred cuisine. The carefully composed dishes, based on regional ingredients, offered a first-class culinary experience.
For our overnight stay, we chose a resort in Dorf Tirol, which lies above Merano. Here, the high location offered tranquillity and a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.
Our excursion ended with a visit to the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle. The extensive grounds with their variety of plants and themed gardens gave us the opportunity to enjoy nature to the full.
The excursion to Merano was not only an opportunity for team building, but also a valuable contribution to strengthening cohesion within our firm.
